The average time to complete a set of house plans is 10 weeks. That timeframe will vary depending on whether you choose standard, semi-custom or custom house plans.
In addition to the consultation, you will have:
You can expect a general representation of textures and colors you have picked, both interior and exterior. While we are not interior designers, we will make every effort to display materials to your taste.
If a change needs to be made that wasn’t outlined in a meeting, we recommend contacting us with those changes. The preferred method of contact for these changes would be through email so we have a detailed record of the change order.
At the close of every meeting, we will print a large format floor plan for you to take home and review. At that time, we will also email you a remote viewing link of your home with semi-custom and custom options. We do not provide updated floor plans and/or email links outside of working meetings.
There is no limit on the number of revisions you make provided they are made within the allotted number of meetings we have with you.
Working meetings last an average of 2 hours.
Consultations average 1.5 hours.
Please refer to the table on the pricing page to see what’s included in the plan sets at our different price points.
You will receive two complete large format paper sets and a digital copy of your plans. If additional copies are required, we offer in house printing at an additional cost.
In the case of drastic changes late enough that we cannot complete your plan sets in the allotted meetings, we will move to hourly billing. This is not common, but should it occur, we will communicate hourly estimates before proceeding. We will never surprise you with additional fees.
We can provide you with the names of local builders we feel could potentially be a good fit for your project style and budget.
No, we are strictly a design company.
If you have already selected a builder and they have provided an average cost, we can use their numbers. If that is not the case, we use average cost per square foot based off current market conditions to try and accurately project cost. Clients’ selections on items such as appliances, fixtures and hardware will have a major effect on the final budget.
We break the payment into fourths based on an estimated total square footage. The first payment will be required before we start work. All remainder payments will be paid following each meeting. For a cost estimate on your project, visit the pricing page and enter your square footage.
We accept cash, checks and all major credit and debit cards. No additional fees will be charged for credit card use.
